I know that officially Stadia is meant to be a laughing stock and all, but they have a pretty incredible deal at the moment, that I can’t believe they haven’t made more of. Or, as the article puts it I’m acting ‘on’ the character whereas non-inverters are acting ‘as’ the character. Namely that if a joystick was to be placed on top of, or on the back of, the playable character’s head you would push up to force the head and therefore the view downwards and vice versa. I’m a hardcore ‘verter and it sums up my feelings of why perfectly. I stumbled across this article that dares to touch upon one of the most divisive issues in gaming, to invert or not invert the Y camera axis.

But what a mess the console release is and it should join the likes of No Man’s Sky and Watch Dogs for most disappointing console releases. I’m confident the PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X version will be vastly improved. The PC version is like a different game from consoles, though the PC still has its fair share of problems. The console version is broken, not fit for purpose and even with the warning signs you have the right to have expected a much better game than what has been released. But the build that has been released on console is not a mere scaled back version of a high-end PC build.

I was of the mindset that all the warning signs were there before launch, that the console version wouldn’t match all the pre-release footage so you took your chance. Coupled with withholding base console footage and careful snippets of mid-gen footage it is pretty scandalous and CD Projekt Red have a lot to answer for.

That would of been fine if the base consoles and Pro versions were in a lot better state, but they’re terrible. But clearly they couldn’t turn away the Xbox One/PlayStation 4 money.

Having spent about six hours with the PS4 Pro version of Cyberpunk 2077 I’ve decided to put the game away until the PlayStation 5 patch is available. SuperDom (Steam ID)/Superiordom (Oculus ID) I hope GC and all its readers have a fantastic Christmas. On a brighter note, I am loving my Oculus Quest 2 and VR gaming is a revelation. How did CD Projekt Red believe it was possible to release a game this unfinished? I think I will leave it for a few weeks before trying again to see if game updates help. Screen tearing on my G-sync compatible monitor and constant crashing every few weeks. Eventually managed to get past it and the game is a bug-ridden mess on PC. I was looking forward to an evening of Cyberpunk 2077 but struggled to get past the character creation page due to the game constantly crashing. Although I’ve come to accept them as I immerse myself in to the glitchy, grainy, and blurry world of Cyberpunk on PS4. I have gotten used to the PlayStation 4 version and deffo prefer driving with a controller but the graphics are naff compared to the gaming laptop. If you have the graphical capability, like her laptop does, the game looks fantastic.
